Science National Honor Society

In order to be apply for membership of SNHS you must be a Junior or Senior with: 

  • 3.0 overall GPA
  • 3.5 in all sciences
  • take at least one honors science. This can be honors, AP, or duel enrollment. If you are a transfer student, IB classes will also count. Anything else, come see me for confirmation. 
  • 4 hours of community service each year (so 8 hours total by graduation)
  • contribute to an additional science club, either Astronomy or Science Olympiad
  • Attend at least 5 meetings per year
  • Attend at least 1 lecture per year (during power hour)

Please have a copy of your high school transcript either delivered to my box or to me so we can confirm your GPA and courses. 

SNHS is a prominent scientific organization that will engender a new group of young thinkers who will be the future of industry, research, and scientific exploration for America.
 
Meetings are on Mondays during Power Hour. We have the 4th Monday reserved as a Priority attendance day to ensure all students can meet the minimum attendance requirements.
